Typography Inspiration: Parisian Street Signs
Paris Typography
Paris is historically known as a center of beauty and art, inside and out.
When I was in Paris, I was drawn to the beautiful signs on the city’s street level, which were just as intriguing as the celebrated paintings in the Louvre. The typography on these storefronts and signs covers a wide range of styles and media — art nouveau, art deco, mosaics, neon scripts, handpainted, graffiti, etc. — but no matter what it just feels like Paris. Here are 20 examples of the unique type on Parisian street signs to inspire a hint of something special in your work.
(Sadly, not even Paris is immune to Comic Sans.)
