Our city’s local AIGA chapter is kicking off 2014 (and celebrating 100 years!) with their AIGA100 Design Leader’s project. They’re calling for suggestions, asking for folks like yourself to identify and recognize the people and companies who have done great things to promote design in Cleveland.
While Cleveland is certainly a burgeoning city for design, Go Media‘s considered small-time compared to some of the big ad agencies Cleveland is known for! We’re proud to champion design in our city as we put on the annual Weapons of Mass Creation Fest. We love to celebrate creative entrepreneurs with our On the Map event. And of course we love sharing our techniques and hard lessons we’ve learned through this here blog and our books like Thread’s Not Dead and Drawn to Business. We love our peers in the design community and we hope we’ve inspired many people to advance in their careers, become better designers, and do more fulfilling work.
We just happen to be based in Cleveland and have a chance to get our name up in lights among our cities best design companies. While we’re not crazy about popularity contests, it just makes sense to enter so we are doing our best to represent not only our city, but YOU, our readers who are across the globe.
So we’d love to have your vote. What? You don’t live in Cleveland? That’s ok, they are opening up the voting to everyone! If Go Media has inspired you in some way in your career, show your appreciation enter our name in this survey.
For more information on what the AIGA 100 Designer Leaders project is all about, this is what they have to say:
What Cleveland designers do you admire? Who did you look up to as a student/beginner? Who has had the most influence on design in our area?
As we kick off 2014 with our national centennial, help AIGA Cleveland celebrate design in the Cleveland/Akron area via our AIGA100 Design Leaders project. It’s more than a popularity contest – your suggestions will help us identify and recognize the people and companies who have done great things in design for the past 100 years.
Use our online survey to list individuals or companies who have done the most to promote design in NE Ohio since 1914, and who’s doing the best job right now. While we expect that many design leaders will be AIGA members, membership is not a pre-requisite to be considered or to make suggestions. We want to involve the entire northeast Ohio design community.
Help spread the word to the widest possible audience. Please share our survey (www.tinyurl.com/CLEdesignleaders) with all of your friends who love design via email, Facebook, Twitter, etc., and use #AIGA100.
We would love your vote! It only takes a second.
Please share #AIGA100!
